Daniel Breaker — the Tony Award-nominated star of Broadway's new musical Passing Strange — fills out Playbill.com's questionnaire with random facts, backstage trivia and pop culture tidbits.

Full given name: Daniel Eric Breaker
Hometown: Jacksonville, FL; Ft. Riley, KS; Zwiebrucken, Germany (I'm an army brat)
Zodiac sign: Gemini
Special skills: I'm a cooking fiend
First Broadway show ever saw: Medea with Fiona Shaw (amazing!)
If you could go back in time and catch any Broadway show, what would it be? Anything James Earl Jones was doing...anything.
Current show you have been recommending to friends: August: Osage County (3 1/2 hours of dysfunction? a must see)
Favorite show tune: Do operas count? If so, Desdemona's Act IV aria from Verdi's Otello
MAC or PC? MAC, and loving it
Most played song on your iPod: It's a tie: Brahms Symphony No. 4, (Allegro non troppo) and Debussy string quartet, (Andantino doussement expressif)
Last book you read: "The Stone Raft" by Jose Saramago
Must-see TV show: "In Treatment" on HBO (Pinter-esque writing and stellar acting from just about everyone. Gabriel Byrne is a lesson in restraint)
Last good movie you saw: "Children of Men"
Favorite board game: Scrabble!
Performer you would drop everything to go see: Gustavo Dudamel (Genius conductor from Venezuela...and he's only 26!)
First stage kiss: Midsummer Night's Dream; Mark H. Dold (Oberon) kisses me (Puck) three times. That was a Mark Lamos production in DC.
Favorite post-show meal: Steak au Poivre and a glass of red wine at "Bistro" across the street from the Belasco (Also my favorite restaurant in midtown)
How you got your Equity card: Lee Blessing's Blacksheep at BSC right out of school
Worst onstage mishap: Taming of the Shrew. As a bouquet of fake flowers was stuffed in my mouth, the wire piping stabbed me under my tongue. I bled for the rest of the scene. Fun!
Who have you played on "Law & Order"? Which edition? "Criminal Intent." I auditioned for a thug from Brooklyn, and they offered me "Zack," the nerd with the pocket protector.
Worst costume ever: A multi-layered wool suit, fur coat, fat suit, long wig and itchy beard for this obscure opera I did years ago. Oh yeah, and I was suspended in the air.
Favorite cereal: Kashi
Who would play you in the movie? Hopefully, me...but probably Dulé Hill.
Worst job you ever had: Working for the census in August in Jacksonville, FL
TV or commercial gig you most enjoyed: Five Papa John's commercials (free trips to LA and the best damn craft services I've ever had).
