WORD BAKER (1923–1995) Off-Broadway: The Fantasticks, The Crucible (Obie Award), Now Is the Time for All Good Men, The Pinter Plays, Dr. Faustus, The Last Sweet Days of Isaac and I’m Getting My Act Together (Jefferson Award). Regional: Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (Artistic Director), Trinity Repertory Company, Dallas Theatre Center, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Seattle Rep and Spoleto Festival. TV: “The Grass Harp” and Jones and Schmidt’s “New York Scrapbook.” Teacher: NY HB Studios, Carnegie Mellon, Boston University, Auburn University, University of Cincinnati, University of Texas and Purdue University. In addition, Mr. Baker was the recipient of a Ford Foundation grant and directed the AT&T Bell Telephone Show (New York World’s Fair 1964–65).
