All actors must be available to audition, rehearse and travel from NYC.


All actors will be signed on as Assistant Stage Managers and will be required, as such, to lift scenery and sound equipment during daily load-in and load outs (up to 60 lbs).


Ethnic performers are strongly encouraged to submit.


All actors must sing! This is a musical based on the popular children's book series, Junie B. Jones. All MUST be versatile with comedic flair. Also must be able to carry tight harmonies.


Seeking:


Junie B. Jones:

Belter with soprano mix, to F, 1 1/2 octaves above middle C. 18+ actress to play a 6 year old. First grader extraordinaire! Verve and quirk. MUST have comedic, Improvisational flair, and lots of energy! Wildly precocious, yet completely endearing. 5'4" or smaller.


Mr. Scary and others:

Bari-tenor to play adult male roles. Mr. Scary Junie's first Grade teacher, a warm man and Gladys Gutzman the queen of snacks, the kids' favorite lunch lady. Also plays Junie's Dad. Ethnic performers encouraged to submit.


Junie’s Mom and others:

Brassy Soprano with belt, 18+ actress to play multiple roles including Junie's Mom, exasperated yet understanding. Also plays May, Junie's nemesis, know it all, Nellie Olsen type nasal belt; and Grace.


Lucille and others:

Brassy Soprano belter, 18+ to play the ultimate in child Diva. Rich girl. Also plays Jose a Spanish male in Junie's class, and Bobbi Jean Piper. Roles in this track are non-Caucasian.


Herb / Chenille:

Herb:
Tenor, 18+ actor to play Junie's new best friend, cute boy, slightly shy. Also plays Chenille who along with her twin is Lucille's new best friends, a follower. Must endearing and charming.


Sheldon and others:

Tenor/ bari-tenor. 18+ actor to play Junie's classmate, a lactose intolerant nerd. Also plays Camille who along with her twin is Lucille's new best friends, a follower and Lennie, another classmate. Roles in this track are non-Caucasian.
