Tony Award winners Alice Ripley and John Lloyd Young rock out to the age of Aquarius in the Rockers on Broadway concert, Celebrating the 60's, at B.B. Kings Nov. 2.
DJ "Cousin Brucie" Morrow hosts the 8 PM evening, directed by Rockers on Broadway founder Donnie Kehr. The show features Ripley (Next to Normal) and Young (Jersey Boys), as well as Tony nominee J. Robert Spencer (Next to Normal), Chad Kimball (Memphis), Will Chase (Billy Elliot, High Fidelity), Diana DeGarmo (Toxic Avenger), Tituss Burgess (Guys and Dolls), Lisa Brescia (Wicked), Emma Hunton (Spring Awakening), Ben Cameron (Wicked), Ta'Rea Campbell (Little Shop of Horrors), Kathy Deitch (Wicked), David Larsen (Billy Elliot), Greg Reuter (Shrek), Douglas Crawford, Steve Gouviea, Sean Jeness, Michelle Kinney, composer Jeremy Schonfeld, Donnie Kehr and cast members of Hair.
Also featured are Lesley Gore, Eddie Brigati and Gene Cornish (The Rascals), Lou Christie, Micky Dolenz (The Monkees) and The Rip Chords.
Celebrating the 60's is backed by band members Ted Baker, Kevin Dow, Matt Garrison, Kevin Kuhn, David Kuhn, Jay Leslie, Ethan Popp and John Putnam.
Ethan Popp serves as musical director with choreography by Greg Graham, lighting by Herrick Goldman and Susan Nicholson and projection design by Wendall Harrington.
