"Turning Points" Play Fest to Feature Chalfant, Sternhagen, Graff, Plunkett and More

Kathleen Chalfant, Randy Graff and Frances Sternhagen are among the acclaimed stage actresses who will participate in "Turning Points: A Festival of New Plays By Women" on Nov. 9.



The League of Professional Theatre Women, which aims to increase visibility and opportunity for women in professional theatre, hosts the evening festival of ten short plays that will be presented at 8 PM at the Cherry Lane Theatre.

Playwrights represented include Paula Cizmar, Glenda Frank, Leah Kornfeld Friedman, Anne Hamilton, Shirley Lauro, Carol K. Mack, Sheilah Rae, Deborah Savadge, Joan Vail Thorne and Leonora Thuna.

Among the veteran actresses who will perform the works are Jacqueline Antaramian, Kathleen Chalfant, Randy Graff, Kathryn Grody, Kathryn Layng, Maryann Plunkett and Frances Sternhagen. Additional names will be announced shortly.

The works presented in "Turning Points" will be directed by Edie Cowan, Pamela Hunt, Melissa Maxwell, Tricia McDermott, Lorca Peress, Cara Reichel, Elyse Singer, Melanie Sutherland, Melanie Moyer Williams and Ludovica Villar-Hauser.
