Arts Theatre Shutters; Edith Head Will Now Play the Leicester Square Theatre

London's Arts Theatre, most recently home to the short-lived U.K. run of Jay Johnson's The Two and Only, has closed down pending a redevelopment of the entire site, which is expected to include provision for a new theatre space.

The West End production of David Eldridge's Under the Blue Sky officially opens at the Duke of York's Theatre July 25 following previews that began July 16.

25 Jul 2008 -- Connie Fisher — who shot to national fame when she won the public vote in the BBC 1 reality TV series "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?" to play the lead role in the West End revival of The Sound of Music at the London Palladium in 2006 — begins performances in her second leading role in the West End July 25.

Espinosa and Green Join Line-Up for London Benefit Concert The Music of Scott Alan
24 Jul 2008 -- Rent's Eden Espinosa and Wicked's Jenna Leigh Green are the latest additions to the line-up for the upcoming West End benefit concert Never Neverland: The Music of Scott Alan, which marks the West End debut of composer and lyricist Alan, who produces the monthly cabaret series Monday Nights, New Voices in Manhattan.
